Just got a 2016 Ram 1500 with factory tow mirrors. I plan on upgrading the stereo to the Stinger HEIGH10. It has the ability to run four cameras. My wife and I both have neck problems and would like cameras that come on when we use the turn signal. I called a stereo shop today and was quoted $1500 PER MIRROR to install mediocre cameras. They said the labor on each mirror would take a very long time and they may even have to pull the door off.

There’s got to be a better solution. I want to keep my tow mirrors and I’m hoping someone has a workable solution.

Are you planning to do it yourself?

Not a chance. I can barely move my neck so I need it installed.

Maybe you can find a friend to do it? A DIY job should cost around $50-$100

No way that the door has to come off
Ram has a very good access to anything inside of the door.

Maybe think about a dash camera setup
they make dash cameras that face forward & have a second camera that faces the rear. Maybe find a camera that has a 190° view, that can be mounted inside the cab, but at the top of the rear window, if your not running a Topper.
Or maybe cameras that bumper mount

Here is the thread I used to get mine installed relatively cheaply.
