After I do my turbo, I plan on doing 90HP nozzles. Being that air comes first, I'm trying to figure out what turbo to get. I'm torn between the fleece 63, II silver 64, or a small twin set up Using my stocker and a S475.

The reason I'm considering the twins is because I do some towing, and the lag of a bigger whistler would kinda suck. Opinions please :)

How much money you wanting to spend when you do your turbo.

Both set ups will be really good. If you go with a 63 or 64 you can wastegate it at 40PSI and not worry about your head studs.

With a compound set up...I don't think you will be able to keep it at 40PSI or lower. So that means new head studs...and I'd get push rods and springs with it.

Both will be good...I know I'm going with a 63 in a couple months. I'm just going with 60hp sticks tho

I've thought about all that also. The set I'm looking into is more of a DD set of twins that are very street mannered, so I don't know if I'll need to touch the block, other than head studs.. To be safe. My biggest worry is the reliability of it. There's a bit more piping and parts, meaning more can go wrong

This **** ain't cheap lol. I've just read horror stories about leaks with twins...it's kinda pushing me away. The coolness (not referring to EGTs) factor makes me want twins real bad lol

If you go with a good kit then you should be fine. Specially a mild kit.

Yes...having twins would be legit. I'm loooking to got 63/88 compound set up someday...just don't have the money. lol

With stock injectors or 60hp injectors with a 63 or 64 your EGT should stay in check

I'd go with twins as well. Do it right and you'll get very quick spool up and great overall output, especially for towing. Leaks can be mostly solved by being really **** about the hoses, tubing and clamps you install. Don't cheap out on those parts.

I always love how everyone is fighting to reduce EGT's. The biggest problem I see is all the rotational mass and rolling resistance of the truck being a factor (tires) and the frontal area and wind drag (lift kits).

I reduced all these factor as much as possible on my truck and have no problem with EGT's or engine coolant even while towing my Jayco Travel trailer or towing my utility trailer up in the mountains.

At 55-60 MPH I'm rolling 500-600*F EGT's towing 700-900*F towing on a 6-7* grade at 53 MPH (4th Gear) 1000-1,100*F.

Something to consider my tires only weigh 62 pound a piece with rims... Then a set of Hoosier drag tires are even lighter like 20-25 pounds for just the tire. (More HP/TQ to the ground!)

* AirDog 150
* Straight Pipe 3" Exhaust
* BHAF
* RV275 Injectors
* Edge Comp set to KILL (5x5)
* IAT fooler set to 143*F
* 235/85 R16 tires
* 16x7 aluminium Mags

Absolutely no issues with EGT's... Just think a bit more before jumping for a fad...

^^^ Although what your saying makes sense....but not everyone wants to role around on stock tires with stock suspension. So we fight EGTs the other way

Your going to pay to play... If it wasn't for the fact I got to haul firewood with my Cummins I would drop it down and use a slightly smaller tire. You guys are lucky on the East side. I'm still paying $3.92 to $4.079 for fuel. So efficiency is a bigger problem for me than style and looks.

Funny you say that...I'm thinking about dropping The truck down a little..

Better MPG's, less stress on the trans, and more speed haha

But I got a question for you all. How fair do you drive to a WalMart? How far to a auto parts store? How about a general food store?

I live way out in the boonies of Idaho... For me to go to WalMart its 180 miles one way (360 miles round trip). As for auto part store its 52 miles one way (104 miles round trip). As for food store locally its 35 miles one way (70 miles round trip).

So now you can understand why MPG economy out weighs any HP/TQ upgrades for me I need a truck with good high MPG's and very reliable because walking for help might not happen. Just from home to the first town is 20 miles! No cellphone service either!

So if you want to know all the secrets of seeing mid 20's MPG talk to me I can get you there for sure!
