2014 express crew cab 6000 miles.

When ever I start the car cold I'll hear like a rattle a faint rattle high pitch. Hard to explain maybe like a dime vibrating lightly on metal. I don't no if it's comming from the exhaust ,Trans or what. It goes away after a min.

Now I notice it when driving some times as well. Like I said comming from under the car.

Any idea? I no it's a long shot and could be anything. But mayb someone is getting same noise I am

I'm having the same issue. 2013 1500 Longhorn 4x4. I hear it when it is cold. Not every time though. Once the truck has warmed up, I do not hear it any longer. There is also another noise that sounds like a low powersteering pump. It goes away after it warms up also. I hear this noise every time I start it up when it's cold.

Sounds like a possible exhaust issue. Especially since it goes away when warmed up. When the truck is cold I would inspect starting with manifold and work my way back. I would try two passes. One with the truck first started to see if I can pinpoint the sound source/location. If not found then I would do another inspection with the truck turned off

I am out here searching today for the TSB related to the exhaust bolts breaking and causing a tick when cold start. There was a TSB for it but i am having trouble finding it now. Your issue sounds the same.

Could be your exhaust rattling, next time you hear it put your foot on the exhasut, might be an easy fix as to tighten the clamps.

I found all the numbers; TSB, RT, et al... Dealer gave me some song and dance about how "it's the broken bolts as mentioned in the TSB but it sometimes is and sometimes isn't covered... and for you, that will be $1000. Would you like us to do this today?" Um, no. If Dodge won't cover it, I'll put headers on it. Funny... my Ford never had this much trouble... I'm thinking it's time to start looking for a different name plate.
