South Dakota/Iowa through the milo, corn, and soybean farm areas.

Big wind gusts had them stirred up, I guess.

Guess it's time to get that bug shield off my "wish list" and purchase it. Been lazy about doing it.

I placed a homemade bug screen in front of the cooling fins, yet in back of Grille & air grille shutters.

I can easily remove it to blow it off or wash it

I am not too worried about the Paint, although many owners do

This goes just before the cooling Fins

I changed my air filter today and found a mass grave of small bees under the filter. I'm not sure if I slaughtered them during the above incident, but I apologize to the pollinators of the world.
My guess is the grave of bees were not necessarily pollinating type anyway…probably the ******** that are no good for nothin other than stinging your ass lol

Reminds me of the time I was in Florida and it was "Love Bug" season (never heard of it before then - I was told it only lasts a week or so)....You needed your wipers to drive and it made a similar mess. Thankfully it was a rented car....

Just be happy that you do not have the damn Monarch Butterflies on the East Coast

When they just Caterpillars, they crawl across the road & the road becomes slick, your tires just slide off the road if you try to Brake Hard.
Then they become Butterflies & you hit them when they are swarming, you have to stop & wipe off your windshield.
Thousands of butterflies flying together is called a kaleidoscope, swarm, or rabble.
The term "kaleidoscope" is often used because of the many beautiful colors and swirling patterns created by the butterflies in flight

Hitting Love Bugs is much worse
