In an attempt to blacken out my truck completely, I purchased some smoked fog light assemblies to replace the factory ones. I noticed after installing the light output is drastically reduced driving down the road. I bought some LED bulbs have linked below the to replace the halogen bulbs, and it actually seemed dimmer. I have linked the light assembly and bulbs I bought below off Amazon. Can anyone suggest better bulbs, or suggest a way to create more light output?

LED bulbs I bought:

Dark for light assembly I bought:

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately with a black reflector, do you want the look or do you want the light? Even the blacked out Quads use a chrome reflector, just the front is black.
If you want to black out the truck consider using the Morimoto LED fog lights and headlights.
Another headlight to consider since the Morimotos are $$$, check out: Modifystreet Smoke Black For 09-18 Ram 1500/10-18 Ram 2500/3500 Top and Bottom DRL/Switchback Sequential Signal Dual Projector Headlights https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R7YG9TN/
There is a whole thread on these headlights and people have been using these LEDs in them: HIKARI Ultra LED Headlight Bulbs Conversion Kit -H7, Prime LED 12000lm 6K Cool White, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077B5NXPY/

Blacked out lights without a projector arrangement just won't put out good light. The reflector can is now non-reflective. You need that shiny can so the light is reflected onto the roadway.

Or you get blacked out projector fogs which don't need a shiny can to project the light.

The reflector is blacked out so you wont get much light projected out. The led you bought is a low power non performing led. You need a high power led, but with that housing you wont get what your looking for. Best option if your in love with that housing is plug and play HId kit.

I would try the $29 on Amazon, Oedro 9006 Led. Super bright and great price and light pattern. Love them on my 13 Ram. I didn't need resistors or anything. Plug and play but 2013s are less picky and light output compared to halogen is much more, so should give you enough light even with the blacked out fogs, I plan to do those fog light housing also.

Just get better fogs, the Oedro are cheap, excellent leds and plug in like stock, just have the controller box to zip tie. I was shocked how bright the oedro 9006 were and they have a thin tip and leds surround tip like a halogen with no odd light scatter. I also have some $46 Katana 9006 leds, but the oedro have been so good and crazy bright(if headlights went out, these Oedro could be used to drive even in fog lights as a emergency) they are that bright and most don't know about them. A very unique design and company is sponsor here(oedro) they have a retail outlet near me in Kent WA. The led you bought have no fan and are low power, prob 3 watts, these Oedro are like 32 watts, look like hid.

Can you please link the exact ones you bought? They have several options.

LED bulbs I bought:

Pretty sure no matter what bulb, lens you buy, with a smoked out lens, the light output will be much darker.
