so this weekend I went to a GTG for SQ audio and let me tell you they made me rethink my system. amazing work that that some of these guys put into there cars to make them sound good. I also got to meet UNBROKEN and his badass truck all I can say is its a piece of artwork when you see it upfront. The only mistake I made was not taking pics so you guys can see the work that some of these guys put into there cars/trucks. Thanks to them I will most likley go a different route with my system.

Everyones car that i got a listen to was over the top in sq and top notch in there builds. I have never listened to anything like that my whole life and i was amazed. For amps they mostly had mosconi and perfered subs are the illusion audio carbon series subs or the morel.

Since i know you are trying to go the sq route i highly recoment that you check out diymobileaudio they really made me rethink my system.

I I've been thinking of ten's instead of High excursion 8's after talking to some buddies. I also am going to be looking at morel 6.5s for mids and I have no clue on tweets but the super tweets I have now don't sound bad at all just get a little harsh on the really high side of things.

what i noticed more is that they use 3 ways up front tweets 3-4 inch mids ans 6.5-8 inch mid bass. And for the speakers most of them were using focal, ilusion audio and hybrid audio.

GETTING RID OF THE SA8 AND GETTING EITHER 2 10'S OR SINGLE MOREL ULTIMO 12.
PS 165 F3 - Focal
AND LATER ON GETTING BETTER AMPS.
AND MY RF 3SIXTY.3 SHOULD BE HERE TODAY.

Those are beautiful comps, are you going to run them active? That Ultimo would be amazing too. There are plenty of high end amps out there besides moscini but there all around the same price. I want to do something like that so badly just don't have the funds to drop an entire paycheck on one amplifier right now. The last SQ setup I saw the shop that did it put down two full layers of deadening and idk if it needed that much but thats what the guy wanted. Kinda nuts when you think about it.

You dont have to spend it all at once just buy one thing at a time. Since i already have alright amps and a dsp i am going to buy the speakers next and some more sound deadening. Since those speakers are on backorder from a local retailer it gives me time to save some money.

This is very true, thats why I have funds saved to buy the morel mids when I finally want to pull the trigger on those. Had them in home theater speakers before and man they just sound so beautiful.

Lol right, the other thing is the boss's ability to make me feel bad about buying audio equipment without her blessing is incredible. So it will be waiting till after the holidays for sure. Looked up the Illusion 12s and wow that is an interesting looking woofer for sure.

Yeah that would be a tough choice, you will have a great sounding truck soon and with some great equipment.

Got my Skar Audio VD10s in the mail last night. They look pretty beefy for a "shallow mount" sub.

Yes for sure going sealed just like that nice tight sound a sealed box has always given me. Pics are coming I have to get them off my "dumb" phone that I am using right now.
