( I only correct what you typed, because the Version of Uconnect that we have been using for the last few years is called Uconnect 4 )

In 2021 or 2022, they are using a newer version of Uconnect, it is called Uconnect 5

What is the pn of your 2014 Cherokee radio?
Is it an Ra4/VP4-NA (68224525Ax) or an RA3/Vp3-NA ?

Once successfully updated to v18.45.x you can update the map files.
You would essentially be looking for map updates for a 2014 Ram RA4 radio (based on your info so far) and you would use your truck's vin and the unique radio code from the hidden dealer menu (Temp up + Temp Down + Front Defrost for 6-10 secs).

Unfortunately, it looks like this ebay seller is no longer selling these updates for the RA3. None of the links work anymore. I did activate my navigation through them and I have the 2019 map, but I was going to see if there was a newer map.

Everyone should know, back in 2009 - 2012, at the Dodge Dealerships in the waiting rooms, there used to be a flyer.

That flyer was either from Chrysler or Navigation .com, which is now HERE .com
It stated that many thousands of places like McDonalds, Home Depot, Movie theatres, etc. update yearly, they are always moving around.
The Highways hardly ever change, maybe sub divisions change, but Highways are really only updated every 3 years & may not change at all in your area.
So they recommended that you only update your maps every 3 years.

When FCA took over, those Flyers were removed, the windows in the Customer Lounge were closed off, so a customer could no longer watch what happens in the Service Area. Then they removed the cash registers in the Parts Dept & if there was more than 1 cash register in the room that the Service Advisors use, they removed all but 1 cash register, they also have to use only 1 Printer. That slowed check in & check out times.
Since Stellantis took over, i noticed in my area, that customers no longer have a Lounge, that area is being rented to Hertz or Enterprise

It is Navi-expert-uk but there is now a Navi..expert too. Don’t know if they’re related.
