Hello. On my 2014 HEMI, had Truetrac rear diff installed by a shop about 20k miles ago. Recently, while rotating tires noticed a little side to side play in both wheels (9 o'clock and 3 o'clock). More pronounced in passenger side. I hear metal tap when moving the wheel side to side, feels like the geara have enough room for that play. No more No less. Just that captured range...At low speed I can hear a little whoop, whoop kind of noise. Other than that, no issues. No leaks, oil level is correct. No vibration. I am going to open the diff tomorrow and take a look inside. Already purchased new wheel bearings and seals, just in case. What are the odds that pinion got loose or axle bearings are going bad? At the time of replacement (20k ago), all bearings and seals were swapped with new ones. Any other ideas would be appreciated. I heard that top to bottom slop indicates bad wheel bearings, side to side - axle ones. Also, the wheels were remounted with no change to the slop noticed. Compared with another ram with OEM LSD and that one felt pretty tight.
No play in up/down (12 o'clock and 6 o'clock)
