Finally took her out after being only out of the garage and back in for the last 6 weeks. It’s been a busy second half of the year for me. Enjoy. IMG_9490.jpeg

It’s a lot of fun. It’s great that I got it when I did. My boys are old enough to start learning about wrenching and so it’s nice to be able to teach them on this.
my oldest will be 15 in 2 months, so he will be taking drivers ed this winter

a while ago my wife totalled her charger so i bought her a new one, and she never warmed up to that one
so, i bought her a journey and let the boy have the charger...yeah, hes gonna get tossed in the deep end, its a pursuit charger, basically the RT package but wilt all wheel drive

5 speed or 8 speed pursuit Charger. The local mounties have a few of the newer 8 speed awd Hemi Chargers,i've been waiting for them to start sending them to the local auctions,as an 8 speed 5.7 awd Charger would be a blast in the winter, lol. A truck 6.4 dropped into one would have gobs of bottem end torque and would run all day long on 87 if need be :Big Laugh:

Time flys I have one of driving age in July. He just has to make some better grade decisions at school. We are getting there. He got lucky and got to be around all of my hot rods. I got of them before my second son was born. Then I had a Charger R/T new one in 19 when my youngest was born. Had to sell that for family reasons, but now they are all old enough and wife is back in her career. My oldest is getting a 05 Silverado that I am going to build him. It’s got a 5.3 so it has lots of potential. It’s super clean minus needing a paint job.

Lol it’s funny how kids do that. My youngest has told his class that I am about to buy him a LS1 Trans Am. Sadly enough if that happens that would be for myself not him lol.

its actually due next month, $5214.25
that gets me 12 months of full coverage on the '18 journey, '17 ram 2500, '15 pursuit charger and '71 duster

i could not tell you if that is a good rate or not
but, i can tell you that over the past 7 years or so the same insurance company that handles my house and cars has paid out just shy of $100K to me, so im not complaining one bit

That is good. I only meant the high rates for new driver, and male, esp. with a powerful car.

We always made sure our name were not on our kids' cars and they paid their own insurance premiums.
Plus, their cars were older as well. We just couldn't afford to pay the high rates.

Here in FL there's alot that drive w/o license or insurance, too, and it sucks if something happens. I got hit by a d ouchebag with a bad tag and no ins. and because it was in a parking lot cops couldn't arrest him, they didn't tow the car he was in, and I had to eat the $500 deductible. Glad I had uninsured motorist coverage. Otherwise, my baby might not have been fixed.

That is what happens when you come out of an aisle turning left without seeing the big white Ram 1500 that is smack-dab in front of you.

Meet Mr. D-bag.

Well I am bouncing between trying to clean the underside and detail cars lol. I have a few more things to clean on the underside. I started polishing things under hood yesterday. All of this weather has really held up a lot of my orders so I sit in limbo. Luckily next week I have a few days of rain before the Hummer I am doing comes in. I am hoping to get the interior deep cleaned and the wheels off and get the wheel wells and rims looking right again. I have forgotten how much goes into indoor shows verses outdoor shows lol.

A few updated pictures. If it needed to be cleaned and hand polished it was. So the complete underside. I yanked the wheels and restored the front and rear brake, shock and strut suspension. Now I am a little frustrated with Koch Chemie who was at once my favorite and go to company for everything. I had a bottle I opened roughly 6 months and about 14ish days earlier. Lid had been on tight. It should had still been ok for one last use. It wasn’t it failed at 9 months in. It does appear that freshly opened it still is going strong on my old ram at 2 years. So as I am restoring and cleaning the driver side front suspension I am noticing scratches. More than likely no one is going to see it. “Detailers Eyes” I checked to see how quickly I could still get Cquartz Pro here and it will be here tomorrow so I started busting it Saturday around noon. I am almost done with the really heavy cut. Angelwax Regenerate and their Green pad “ Ultra Cutting” Then I will run the same compound again with their red pad or their hybrid wool pad.“ heavy cut” followed by their orange pad “ medium cut” Regenerate. To finish I am going to see which clarity is best on this step. I am thinking the meguiars black microfiber finishing pad with the rupes uno pure or I may see if the paint likes the rupes yellow foam. Then I will finish it all out with Angelwax Perfect Polish. Then all that is left is painting some emblems and a new fuse box cover. Installing the battery cover. A few decals under the hood and the new BMR ones for the sway bars. The interior needs to be dressed, but I will do that next Tuesday. I am almost done. It is just getting past this paint correction and tomorrow is a blown up day with doctors visits and me having to go get my Rotary polisher because I need it for the spoiler. I had to get it worked on. I see the end, but I am sure I am no where near it lol.

I had some scratches try and fight me first thing on the bumper. They ultimately gave up. This is 3 stages of cutting only no polishing and no filter. The pictures kind of take you through the process of clarity. I am still waiting on some pads to arrive today so that I can finish cutting and get onto the polishing process. Well since the rain decided to move in two days early there won’t be any outside shots it doesn’t look like it until after the show. So here are the done inside shots. The pictures do not do it justice. If it could be polished and ceramic coated with Cquartz it was. All of the trim and the front wheel liners received Dlux Most of the engine was also polished and ceramic coated with either Dlux or Pro. Exterior received Pro.
