One of my pet peeves about my gen 4 was that whenever you grabbed the door handle it would (loudly!) unlock all the doors and tailgate, even if they were already unlocked!

I got so that I purposefully would grab the handle by the top/bottom and avoid triggering it.

On my gen 5 I was doing the same thing, even though the locks are much, much quieter. Then I noticed that the trigger zone seemed to be much narrower as it wouldn't unlock even when I was less careful.

Then I tried just grabbing the handle and it didn't unlock! Wahoo!!!

Who else has inconsequential things on their RAM that still somehow manages to make their day?

Have noticed that with my 4th gen and do the same grab the handle at the top/bottom. Now I have more to look forward to in a few years when I trade in next, so thanks!

That can swing both ways. I love the truck so far. But: whenever it rains, the first time you open the door if the truck is angled downhill (back end), you get a cup full of water dumped down where you are about to be standing. First few times it got me nice and soaked. Now I know it's coming so I usually miss the water by hesitating when I open the door, but every once in a while I forget and get drenched.:gathering::ryu-cvs-hadoken-a:

The thing I find funny with the doors, is when I'm washing it, if I have the key in my pocket, when I spray the hose anywhere near the door handle, it triggers the unlock. And I know what you all are thinking......Well, take the damn key out of your pocket when you're washing it. But then I'll forget where I put it.....
