What is the largest spare you can put under a lifted 2500?

I think you can fit a 35” but you’ll have to let almost all the air out of it

I could fit a 35 under my '98 2500 but had to let the air out, get it up in to position, pull it back away from the axle, then air it back up about half way. It fit and rode that way just fine. I did have to take the bar of my HiLift jack to pry it down from between the rails and then give it a shot of air to top it off but it can be done.

I haven't upgraded the tires/wheels on my '12 2500 yet but am figuring on having to do the same process.

I have 35" and it will not fit with air, haven't tried without yet. There is a track bar I believe it's called behind the Diff cover which prevents a bigger tire installed there.
When I go in sand (pull trailer through sand) I put on the 35" tires on and air down. When just highway i use my 20" stock tires.
