Hi, got a 2010 ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi.
Swapped the spark plugs and ignition coils about 6 months ago. Been having cylinder 1 misfire the past couple months and the engine has been sputtering really bad with a blinking check engine light. Pulled the cylinder 1 plugs today and noticed autozone had given me the wrong ones. They gave me Autolite XP 5263 which both autozone and autolites websites say won't work. Put new Bosch 9673s in cyl 1 today and plan to do the others this week. They appear similar but the seats are different(correct ones have washer) and the correct ones stick a couple mm deeper. The incorrect ones for cylinder 1 also had allot of buildup.

Anyone know what damage this could've cause? Also, any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Your Ram left the factory with NGK spark plugs
the box will read NGK 92174 , the spark plug will have LZFR5C11 on it

Look at this website page

Rockauto is one of the vendors on this forum
they give out discounts for members

Too long a plug could cause piston damage but I think you would hear the pistons hitting them. You’d definitely see that on the plugs if it was happening. More likely occurring on a Hemi than a regular piston I would think. ONLY REPLACE WHAT YOU REMOVE… plugs have different resistance values besides mechanical differences as seats & electrodes.
