Anyone have experience with one of their CAI kits? About half the price of the bigger name brands, and it looks very similar. Did a search and only found results in the second gen guys...
Thanks!

I have it on my Gen 3 with 5.7 HEMI. I've had it on almost a year and I've been pleased. Saw MPGs go up slightly, and once I added a muffler the truck sounds very mean and strong. I went with the Spectre for the price, and it's worth what you pay for sure. I would recommend getting stronger clamps then what it comes with and put a drop of locktight on it to keep them from backing out. I found my filter had fallen off the tube at some point. Anyways I have been very pleased, but I still think someday I will upgrade to a better looking S&B kit when the money is there

If its the metal one you are talking about you are better off with the oem intake.

I honestly would keep it stock, and go with a drop-in....or look for a slightly used S&B, Vararam, or decent intake on the for sale forum. They pop up quite often. IMO, Spectre says, "I bought my shiny intake at Autozone". You'd have the same results buying a generic one on ebay.

Save ur money & get the vararam cai if u want the best performing intake. If u just want more noise get it.

I'm still looking for a CAI that I like. Spectre's is cheap but I don't like the thin, seemingly useless filter housing, but even the "best" CAI's haven't convinced me that plastic is now worth $75/lbs.
I found a decent deal on a used CAI in the For Sale section here, but the seller screwed me, so... the search continues.
Keep us posted, when you find one.
