Been searching for splash guards/mud flaps, only can find ones that fit the rear tires and not the front since my side step bars run tire to tire. I hate the wheel and road spray I'm getting after a wash and the tire dressing that comes off also. I know you should let the tires dry but when I got it from dealer they had just detailed her up now I got black spots on the rear and front of the truck. Am I stuck with just getting the rear guards?

The Weather Tech mud flaps clear the side steps in the front. I had them on my last truck (2014 QC Express) wheel to wheel steps. Cheap, easy to install.

Mopar makes 2 types of splash guards. The molded type which may not work with your steps and a flat rubber type that will.

^ I was going to mention this as well. Its all preference if you like the molded ones or the floppy rubber ones. I don't think the Mopar molded ones fit with wheel to wheel steps tho. I was assuming you were talking about molded ones, if you are then Weather Tech is the way to go! But if you want flippy floppys then skys the limit..

Molded would be nice on all four, but oh well seem like they would work a little better than floppy. I did see them on weathertech, I guess I'll order them tonight.

Do you side steps have a slight bend by the front tire? If so then the mopar molded flaps work.

DONT ORDER direct from weather tech. get them off amazon or another vendor you will save like 100 bucks. Weathertech is a rip off as it is get them as cheap as you can. I was lucky my cousin worked at 1A auto (Same company as A1 Tony) and i got the last set they had at his discounted price. A1 no longer supplys weathertech other wise I would tell you go to them

Anyone have any pictures of the Weathertech ones?

Also, has anyone done the Husky flaps?

They are easy to install. They use the same screws that hold the liner to the fender, the front one has an optional screw, but all you have to do is drill a small hole through the liner and pop the bolt thru. I want to say the entire install took me 20 min.

Also what I did was cut the factory trim peice to fit with the mudflap. so you cant see the bolts that hold the fender support. All you need is a hack saw (I used a metal blade) and a vice and just cut along the edge, it will pop right back on and sit perfectly against the mudflap - looks very clean and factory.

Ill post pics in a min.. Stay tuned..

Here is the driver's side rear. Note the trim piece I was talking about, the instructions have to throw these away, I just cut em'.

Front - again, note the trim. ** My black truck DOES NOT have wheel to wheel steps**

Also, I forgot I had a pic from my last truck WITH wheel to wheel steps to show how the Weathertech's clear the Factory steps. (again note the trim piece)

Hope these help some people with the purchase. I sure wish I had all this info in one place when I bought them. Since it was such a steal for me I just went for it. But I can't say enough about these. They have survived a brutal winter and 2 hot summers with no garage. I will say after the winter its a good idea to take them off and clean them and the fender real well. Since I sold my white truck I had to take them off, and there was a lot of grit behind them that I can see causing issues later if not maintained. I do treat these with Lucas Oil Slickmist Spray wax every time I wash my truck and they are still the same black they were when I bought them - haven't faded.

Huskys WILL NOT fit wheel to wheel side steps, they will fit normal cab steps like I have on my black truck - not my old white truck (see pics above)

The only way to get the Huskys to fit is to take the steps off and cut them about an inch and put the cap back on - its not worth it if you have wheel to wheel, just buy the weather techs.

I will say this. as for protection compared to the big rubber ones, its not comparable. Im more into the clean look, these flow very well and personaly I dont care for the look of floppy ones. But let it be known that these will not prevent snow and mud from flying up on your steps, nor will it prevent huge rocks from smashing cars windows behind you if you spin your tires up good. but for an all around mud flap that offers OK protection from rocks thrashing your fenders and keeping some slush and gunk off your doors these work fine for a pavement pounder. My offroading days are behind me..

For offroad use I would not recomend any hard mudflap as you cant dig your tires out if your sunk in mud or snow - with that being said if you really wheel your rig I would not recommend any mudflaps if you can get away with it they are just a pain to deal with on the trail.
