Spray on bedliner and tailgate issues

Question - I just had an Armor Thane spray on bed liner put on my bed a month ago. I also have a Tonneau Cover installed. Since having the spray bed liner my tailgate randomly opens. If it wasn't for the Tonneau cover catching the tailgate, it would completely drop open while driving. I brought it back to the place that did the spray on bed liner and the dealership. Both checked the latches/adjustments and everything else. They both shut the tailgate and pulled on it and could not make it randomly open. Has anybody else had this issue? The tailgate closes and opens smoothly and does not stick. I'm at a loss. The paint on the tailgate is getting warn do to the rubbing on the Tonneu cover lip when it opens while driving.

Open the tailgate (access plate on inside face) and lube everything you can get to.

Also lube the 4 rubber bumpers on the sides. Sometimes the spray on liner gets stuck on the bumpers because of the extra thickness.
