2015 2500 diesel.

Discovered squirrels chewed up the battery blanket on the drivers side.

Also chewed of a 4' piece of wire (two wires) that are connected to the negative post of the battery; found the 4" piece in the battery box.

Unfortunately they chewed the wire off flush with the connector.

Question: Any problem with disassembling the connection at the post and reconnecting (soldering) new connections). I did get some new 20 gauge wire for the repair. I assume these are grounds for something and I do get some resistance with a meter when I read across the negative post and the bare wire. Mostly I am concerned about screwing up something in the computer.

Just curious... but have you priced out an oem terminal replacement first, or checked to see if there is some slack in the harness where soldering wont be necessary?

This happened to me on my old LS430, but it was relatively close to the terminal, which made the repair easier - they just had to cut the harness down a bit, and reattach the terminal connector.

Yes; talked to the RAM dealer in Pueblo. Somewhere between $90 and $200 (parts only) is all he would say.

I got this for my FU&*** chipmunk problem. its works for squirrels too. thye love cereal. I polisehd the "tigger" with some 0000 steel wool and scotch pad and its SUPER sensative. caught 3 in 4 days and shot 3 with my 10/22. my dad caught 15 of them in about 3 weeks.

**Disclaimer** I did not "have a heart" when using this product. they cause enough damage to not have one.

EDIT: you can use just one door at a time too. put it up against a wall were they travel often so they will be more likely to go through it.

Mothballs also - put in a net bag an hand under the car.

Do you use the Lysol by itself and just spray the under carriage?

I use Lysol on the undercarriage and peppermint oil in the engine bay. Sometimes I spray some Lysol in the engine bay in addition to the peppermint oil if I see any evidence of them being there. Only had one rodent problem with this truck and that was only because I didn't keep up with it as much as I should have...

Peppermint oil on cotton balls - good idea!
