I just read this entire thread and... Uuhh, hmmm... Well, Ramsfan I am glad to hear your truck is back to normal, and to the rest of you I am glad the cat fight is over, lol! Now you guys need to kiss and make up. :favorites13:

@ Jay. Bro, you really need to take some classes in effective communication... I mean that in a nice way.

Damn!! This thread took a turn... Ramsfan, good to hear all is well with yours now, looking forward to getting mine tweaked and running smoothly!

Right on. Thanks guys.

Im sure you heard something but if the engine was pinging enough to pull 14 degs damage could be done. That is a crazy amount of knock which is why jay said could be false caused by something else. Something tapping on a manifold or something could cause it.

I gotta agree with this. The only time I've ever seen 14*ST is on a blown engine. Pieces of the ring landing rattling around the cylinder after the piston had smacked the spark plug. With 14* pulled that would be in the neighborhood of 50Hp.

This knock could be a few things but I doubt a blown engine.

Probably more than 50. It would feel like when pcm reduces power due to overheating.

The 2 most helpful people i have ever dealt with concerning rams is jay and matt. Me and 2 other people i know had the worst experience dealing with sean.

Don't know why everyone is bashing on Jay. He knows his **** and his tunes are second to none. I've had one of the "other" guys tune and Jays is night and day. And funny how I'm seeing more and more HF guys switching to Jay. Speaks volumes in itself. I'll listen to Jay about tunes before I listen to anyone else. He takes the time to explain the tune which I didn't get from the "other" guy.

Have you even tried talking to Sean?

I've had my truck since August and I guarantee I have several hundred emails back and forth with Sean asking him about the tune, what it does, why it's set up that way, what he thinks about certain mods and how to tune it, etc. etc.

You just have to actually ASK the questions.

I didn't say I was with Sean. Everyone jumps to conclusions which is why half the **** on here is taken out of context

Okay. That doesn't change my comment at all lol. Sean is fantastic to deal with. I've only ever talked to one tuner that was better to deal with, and he only does mustangs.

That's great. That's your opinion and I can't say anything to that because I have never dealt with him. Just as I stated that I trust Jay 110% because of my dealings with him and his knowledge of tuning compared to the other guy. I known lot of guys that had Sean's tune and switched to Jay. Haven't heard a bad comment yet only raves. So that alone speaks volumes to the quality of Jays tunes. Not saying Sean's are bad just saying from what I hear they are better

For the record iwas with sean first and nothing but problems with him. Never replied to my emails about issues with the tune. Finally sean sends his latest tune 3 months after i switched to jay. At the time i had a 2 month old jay greene tune and the latest sean tune. Ran them both at the track with 45 mins of each other. Result was a lot more than you would think. There are others on here who have been given the silent treatment from sean because they have been dealing with jay also. I paid sean for a service and now he refuses to continue it because i dealt with a competitor. **** that little *****. I hope he blows up one of yalls trucks. It wouldnt be the first time he has done that.

Wow and here I thought I had escaped the tuner wars I had encountered for years on the BMW forums!

Hey its gonna happen. He turns the o2 and knock sensors off for the 12 second trucks.

Funny, because I'd bet a lot of people here (me included) favor the HF over JG tune simply because of HF's age/experience and that it appears to be a less aggressive tune and "safer".

Not saying that is the case, but just appears to be.
