Another person came here after his rant about closing this thread to state he had a same problem and get answer to his issue. Weird.

Another note, couple guys at work with cloth heated seat, and two trucks work till you can’t stand to sit in either seat, another two trucks do their own thing, one like the OP and one that only works on low.

Both guys “never noticed it”, until I asked about it.

And it's the 2018's. The earlier heat/ cool & cloth seats are ok.

Yep both 2018’s.

nm the post was worded weird, he meant the heater vents, and not the actual seats, but the alfa did do some weird sensor calibration which made it work

For what it’s worth I got my heated seats and steering all working. One dealer said they were going to replace the heat elements in my seat and that will fix it. I didn’t buy that because you push the buttons for the seats and steering wheel and they shut off after 1-2 seconds. Took it to another dealer and they scanned it and told me exactly what the problem was. The heated seats and steering wheel module was bad. Paid my $90 for the scan. (My OBDII tool did not show any codes.) Ordered my new seat module with the updated part number and everything works fine. Thank you Pearson Dodge in Richmond VA!

Funny...I bought my G37 from Pearson Infiniti!

Since I live in CT I never got to their service department, but even the sales guys seemed like nice people.

If the OP had gon to your dealer this thread would have been 800 posts shorter......

hehe

And if OPs dealer was competent.....

Someone in the AlfaOBD thread proved you can connect to the heated seat module to see exactly what is going on, and what would trigger the heat to shut down quickly. Maybe dealers need a copy of Alfa instead of TechAuth.

Have you seen the synthetic oil thread...almost 28K posts and no end in sight. Heck, the OP on that one hasn't even been on RF for years!
