Well guys the OP made the post last Wed and hasn't be seen since,i wonder if he'll ever be back![]()
Hopefully he took @CanuckRam1313 's advice in post #26He's busy at Regionals. Pro-Am Arm Wrestling.

And this is one of many reasons why I don't even want to ride in a Cybertruck, let alone own one.Unless something broke inside the rack,it doesn't lock up,get very heavy steering yes,but it won't physically be locked.By law you still have to be able to steer it if it loses electrical power,it'll just be like trying to steer a semi with no power steeringNo differant then trying to turn the wheels with the engine shut off and the tires sitting on pavement, you can still turn the tires, but you have to put some muscle into it,when you get the truck back, try it out
People learned to be coordinated back then.Yeah, if you're rolling manual steering isn't too bad. Add in a manual column shifter, though, and things get a little more interesting. Then manual brakes. So both hands and both feet have something to do quite often.
I can't remember if 1st gear was synchronized or not. I didn't buy it and stuck with the Scout. Early Scout manuals were not.
