I have a 2014 Ram 1500 express which has the basic steering wheel controls which do NOT have the audio controls. The left hand side controls for the phone and voice command and the menu arrow buttons all of the sudden don't do anything when pressed. The right side cruise control buttons seem to be working fine. The truck is under warranty and I will take it in but was just wondering if this is common or happened to anyone else.

Looks like the horn doesn't work now either. The funny thing is that the phone and menu buttons do work but only when the steering wheel is 180 upside down.

It sounds like you most likely have an issue with your clockspring. It is the the piece that makes the electrical connection between your steering wheel and the colum. Most likely a bad ground. Should be an easy fix for the dealer. Hopefully they will have one in stock if that is actually the problem.

Yep, I had all of the recalls done. It does sound like the clock spring after talking to some other folks. My dealer couldn't get me in for a month but another dealer is going to look at it next week. I guess maybe trying another dealer may be the right thing to do if the recall was botched at my dealer.

I have a 2014 1500 and have audio controls on the backside of the wheel and they function properly, but the cruise controls on the front right side don't work, any ideas?

We certainly understand why this would be concerning. If you are not able to determine a solution based on suggestions from fellow forum members and you decide to address this with your Ram dealer, please be sure to follow up with us via private message. We would be more than willing to escalate your situation to a specialist who can work alongside you and your dealer while your truck is in service.
