I sold my 2020 1500 to Carvana for $4,000 more than I paid for it and put it towards a 2021 2500 Tradesman with 3.73 rear end.

When I searched google, I couldn't really find any performance stats for the 6.4. So I wanted to do a test before I put the 35s on. Here are the results on the horrible stock 245/70R17 Firestones.

I actually pulled a best of 15.7, but didn't get video. That is the same time my 2020 1500 V6 ran, but with a slightly lower trap speed.

The 2500 could probably pull some low 15s with traction. I didn't buy it to be a race truck, but just wanted to know what it would do. A blower would sure be fun though.

The 35s are on now and they are much stickier. I'll be testing on them soon. May loose some top end, but I think launch/traction will be improved.

Nice looking truck. You’ll gain a little ultimate top speed with larger tires IF you don’t correct the speedometer. They’re all governed. I don’t know about the tradesman, PW use a different factory tire and a 99 governor setting.

can't wait to see the impact it has...I have to think it will be a bit as I have a 2020 PW and I noticed a big seat of the pants going from stock 285/80-17 to 35x12.5-17's.

May loose some acceleration, but gain traction. Might be a wash, but these new tires grip way better off and on road than the stock Firestones.

Removing the restrictive exhaust and adding a glasspack and resonator tip made a huge difference in my throttle response.( maybe cause I shed about 60lbs of weight)
After coming from a 1500 Laramie my PW felt sluggish.
I assumed it was just the increase in weight overall.
After doing exhaust this thing is a whole other story!
Loud though...

Finally got around to testing the truck on the big tires. 20,000 miles later, so the tires were not quite as grippy, but still better than stock Firestones.

2019 3500 CC, LB, 4WD. Went 14.89@ 93mph at 750 DA. That's with headers and 4.10's. Cold air's on these trucks are a waste on money. The factory did a great job. The gains in the headers are huge.

That is pretty good for a heavy 3500 LB gasser. I might be able to pull a 14.9 Stock if I launched hard in 4WD and some good DA. I need this truck for my work/business though. Don't want to tear it up.

Pretty solid for a big truck. I was curious as to what these will run. My 17 1500 on 35s with intake, tune and exhaust. 3.23 gears ran a 14.4@95. my new truck is a 22 2500 6.4, 4.10s on 35s. Def not as fast as the 1500 but def can feel the power/gear difference. Im curious to see what mine would run with the 4.10s. mine is a laramie so prob a little heavier.

Is the rest of your truck stock?

Judging by that inspection sticker, what part of louisiana you in? Im outside of baton rouge.

Stock with about 23,000 miles on it and probably a couple hundred pounds worth of tools. These 2500's got some weight to them vs the 1500. 4.10s in mine would just = more tire spin.

I am up in the Shrevport/Bossier area. Getting ready for this 82 degree Christmas day. Crazy Southern weather. :33:
