Good morning Mopar Fam. I've been stumped with a vibration problem with my 2015 Ram 1500 crew. Leveling kit, hubcentric 2in spacers, HD shocks, lower control arm, 33x12.5x20 ATs. I have already replaced tires, alignment, rebalance, tie rod ends, wheel bearings, center drive shaft bearing. Still feeling a vibrations starting at 64mph and progresses at higher speeds. Any suggestions before taking it so a suspension specialist.

Did you try a road force balance? Did they check the wheels for straightness before/after you noticed the problem? With so many things being made in China nowadays (if that’s where they were made in anyway)Chinese QC is pretty pathetic on a lot of things so one of them could have been out of round from the factory.

I secone the road force. And what level do. You have and how big? Sometimes the cv axles will not like the angle. If it happened since that install I'd try a better brand like Bilsteins. Personally Not a fan of the strut spacer leveling kits but that's just me.

In the front or back?

Did you upgrade control arms with all of that, I do believe that is still a known issue to that point or year.

Could even be torque converter shudder, just thought that I’d throw out there. But my guess is levelling spacers/struts. I had the same issue. Had to remove levelling spacers and buy new struts everything went away..............
Until a few years later, trans issues and feel almost the same vibration at a higher speed. Torque converter making the truck vibrate.

Take the wheels spacers out of the equation. Then start your troubleshooting. Hopefully you did that from the begining.

So it’s not present or imperceptible below 64mph?

Simple answer...drive 63mph or slower.

Difficult answer... it’s frequency based and likely hits the right harmonic at 64mph to cause a vibration.

I’d start by swapping rims / tires with someone and see if the issue persists. If it doesn’t, the issue is with the rims and/or tires. Balance, road force preferably at the weight of the truck and retest. Some tires are just noisier than others.

Assuming the issue persists with the other set of rims and tires, check driveline angles EVERYWHERE. Grease everything. If you have a GoPro, mount it at all four corners, under the truck in multiple spots, etc... to track down the offending area.

You’ll eventually find it and dollars to donuts it’s not what or where you’d expect.

Thanks for all the suggestions. As far as tires, shocks and wheels, tires replaced, shocks replaced, wheels are true. I guess I will have a road force balance done. Will keep you posted on the findings if any. Thanks Fam.

Some people have indicated that the front skidplate somehow transmits vibrations through to the cab and when they remove it the vibrations go away.

This is obviously not a solution if you already don't have the skidplate, nor if you do have it and it's there for a reason - but it may be a troubleshooting step and if you discover that it's involved maybe you can work out a way to isolate it.

I haven't had vibration problems so I can't contribute any first-hand, that's just stuff I've read more than once when this topic comes up.
