Yes, the Diablo tuners will adjust the speedometer for tire size.

That is where tuners like Hemifever and Jay shine. There are shops all over the country that are great with some of the Ford and GM vehicles, but there are very few that know what they are doing when it comes to the newer Hemi motors and transmissions in these trucks. If you search for the fastest Hemi trucks out there, they are all tuned via email tuning simply because there is a lack of performance shops that are familiar enough with this platform to get better results than what we have seen from the dedicated Hemi tuners. Many of these shops will adjust fuel and timing, but dont have a clue where to start when it comes to transmission and tq management tuning. These tq management and trans tune settings can sometimes make more of a difference in your trucks performance than the actual hp gained from the engine tuning.

It has 10 set ups so I could have a lot of set ups to try
Does the Diablo unit have slots like that or do you just get one set up to choose from ?

Yes, you can save multiple tunes on the Diablo tuner as well, but you can also have 100 or more saved on your computer and just load them onto the tuner if/when you want to use them. You typically only need 1-2 tunes on the tuner itself as once the tune is dialed in, there really isnt much need to change it or swap back and forth. Another bonus to the email tuning is that tune updates are free from Hemifever, and I think with Jay as well. This means that as you continue to modify your truck, you simply let your tuner know what changes you made, and they will send you a revised tune at no cost. Just save it from your email to the tuner, and then you are ready to roll.

Any of these tuners help with the mpg ? I have an 8 speed, driving with the cruise set at 70mph on the highway for 30 miles, I'm getting 20.8 mpg. Crew cab, 4x4, 5.7L.......is there better out there? Will the cold air intake help? Will a throttle body help? Muffler? Tuner? Any suggestions??????

I put a CAI and upgraded my exhaust.

This was supposed to help with gas mileage, however it sounds so awesome now I can't get my foot off the pedal and have lost ground on mileage

Mileage gains are minimal on these trucks. Tuning will make the biggest difference in mileage gains over the other bolt on parts, but I havent seen any more than a 1-2mpg increase with the various tuners out there though. I would pick up a tuner for the performance and responsiveness, and just consider any mileage gains as an added bonus.

Im running JBA long tubes with the cat less Y pipe into a flomaster super 10(about to swap it out with a 14 Magnaflow), Eddle Brock intake and a custom tune from Hemifever. With just those mods, I've noticed a HUGE difference in how she runs, the sleeping beast has been awoken and is continuing to wake up even more.

Im getting ready to order a new thermostat, catch can and ported throttle body from Moes.

Ordered my headers from Moes and had zero issues, excellent customer service same with Hemifever, extremely quick and professional. They both have my business for life.

Hey guys..Been runnin around the forum and not finding anything good..Picked up a pre owned ecu and trinity for my 16 sport...Sent ecu off to diablo to be unlocked but i cant do anything with the trinity..Only thing i see online is a cost to unlock the tuner now...Ecu is on the table and trinity is hooked to pc and i cant update,unlock or unmarry from original truck...Do i really have to go through diablo again to get this straightened out..I talked to diablo when giveing my info to send in ecu for unlock and was told if any probs to call back..Man this burns ma butt that i gotta mess around on the phone to clear this up when it could been done before...

If the previous owner did not return his truck back to stock, then you will need to call Diablo so that they can unlock the tuner. I think they charge $160-$180 to do that.

That's the risk you take when buying used parts. The good deals sometimes dont end up being such good deals once you lose the warranty on the parts and have to cover the added fees like in this situation.

I asked garret from diablo if i needed to send in tuner as well and he said no,didnt tell me that i would need to unlock this one though..
Made it seem that if there was an issue to call him and he would walk me through it..NOOOO word of unlocking the tool or any more fees...**** me off...
If i gotta pay again im just gonna sell it and be done..
3 different phone #'s no answer,30 minutes total on hold waiting for someone to pick up and at 3:55 pm east coast time i emailed.Those 30 minutes were nothin but commericals for the diablo product.Its 5:30 now and no reply yet based on their forum they say they answer more emails than calls in same amount of time..

Diablo closed 30 minutes ago because they are on the East coast. The problem is that the guys at Diablo dont know whether the used tuner you bought was still married to another truck or not. They have no way of knowing whether the person you bought it from returned it to stock or not before they sold it to you unless you send them the info file off the tuner.

Thats why i told them its a pre owned and still has their tune and stuff on it..
Lookin at my cost assumeing i have to pay AGAIN to unlock this tuner,includeing a hf tune and exchange,shipping the diablo ecu back to unlock and back to me and taxes n stuff,i saved $21 by getting a litely used one vs buyin new at moes..

I can get away with extra shipping and canadian duty cause i have a usa addy i can get it delivered to..

Tuner hands down is best bang for buck even for the 2015+ trucks. It'll get you way more power and continue to give as you add more performance parts such as headers. Exhaust is easy, mufflex, magnaflow, MBRP, ect all offer many different setups. I'm running the mufflex delete. Lots of people like lots of different setups.
Welcome to the performance pages. Look forward to seeing your truck grow in HP and torque.
I highly recommend Matt with Moe's Performance for a vendor as he carries lots of different parts and also runs them on his truck which is the fastest 4th Gen Ram currently.
