Just finish the router jig to cut my 12" sub holes.

So I thought I'd share this find, I was able to mount my tweeters without making any new holes. I want to see how they sound before I drill additional holes.

These pop out:

And give you three holes:

External Mount:

Tinted the reflectors, Tweeters mounted and wired.

They are DS350 3.5" Speakers, you can find them online. Just google "DS350 3.5" Speakers".

Tomorrow hopefully Ill finish this all up except a few tiny things like wrapping the sub box.

Passenger side box, recessed mount, TWELVE INCHS!

Needed something to put the distribution block on, so I whipped this up and wood burned the Kicker logo the best I could.

Kicker amp mounted, power & ground wires ran.

Looks great! I am sitting here right now looking at audio for my truck. I am probably going with Kicker all the way around, amps speakers and subs. I don't really know crap about audio, so I am going to have to meet with the installer to map everything out.

Im dog tired, over 24 hours of labor into the build so far.

Its pretty easy, you could do it yourself.

All the fiber-glassing takes for ever!

Just two layers is over 10 hours, 8 hours is drying time. :(

I need to pull the rear carpet back so I can finish running them, running the wires alone was a huge project.

Update: Both subwoofer boxes are finished below are the photos of the shells. They are a perfect mold of under the seat. 5 Layers of fiberglass each.

Tomorrow I seal them with a silicone caulk. Still left to do is some minor wiring and then I get to really test the system.

Driver side box complete, this is the bottom portion
IMG_1055.jpg

Passenger side box complete, this is the bottom portion shell
IMG_1053.jpg

Top view of the passenger side box, this thing fits so snug and ended out much better then I thought it would.
IMG_1052.jpg

Speaker wire ran from head unit to the rear of the cab, what a pain
IMG_1051.jpg

Extra goodies, 100leds, 100 resistors, window module, fused battery terminal connection...

Dang bud. You stay up late doing this! Guess it is cooler at night though without the sun beating down on ya. Looks great! Can't wait to see it finished.

Luckily I cleaned up the garage so I can pull the truck in for wiring tomorrow. Can't stand these 104+ temps.
