careful where you mount that Crunch amp...my buddies crunch would get so hot that if you laid a finger on it after it had been running for awhile it would burn you.

Got about 3 hours in so far, its 3AM going to call it a night.

Just getting the rear seat out, running the first power wire length, running the ground and mounting the amp.

Tomorrow morning I need to clean up the inside and pick up the rest of the toys.
Rear seats, to remove unbolt all 8 bolts, and push up on the backrest portion.

I will be installing the subwoofer amp here.

Bam!

Conveniently there is a good place to ground the amp, again striving for a professional install look.

Total time into project: 8 hours

I have never attempted anything like this before. I have done my homework and have some bad ass plans.

Idea: Custom fiberglass boxes with 3/4 MDF. When MDF Gets Wet it gets nasty so before I wrap them I will bed line them.
I plan on getting a graphite fleece to match the current carpet in the truck.

Laying down the tape for the fiberglass structure.
IMG_0976.jpg

Two separate MDF boards mounted together, again this is only the start.

Three layers of MDF total for each box, bottom portion will be fiber-glassed into the bowl leaving a nice base for layer two to seal and mount.
Layer three will be a flush mount for the sub to be installed in.

Third layer will protect the sub from being squished by the rear seats.

Room for just one more layer, fits lovely :)

I can't believe this was on my rear seats :superhack:
