What's the best option for an 09 Ram with Hemi? From my understanding, both have the MDS on/off. What does each offer? Not sure what Dodge guys prefer.

the general thought is that if you are not going to do major motor mods the superchips is a good choice. If you plan more motor mods a diablo would be the route to go so you can use custom tunes. Other members know more about the 2 and should chime in soon.

ok.... here's a silly question... what's considered a lot of mods? I'm just planning on doing a magnaflow exhaust (getting installed now), air intake and tuner.
Also, does either offer any mpg gains? where is the preferred place to purchase?

I have the Diablo Trinity. MPG gains....eh can't really say because it's so much fun driving it I think I get on it more.

I don't have any experience with Superchips so I can't say anything bad, but I have no complaints with my Trinity. The Superchips Vivid that's supposed to be coming out soon does look VERY impressive though.

when the fuel saver light comes on, does that mean I have MDS? just asking because there's 2 different engine options for the 09 Hemi Ram

Superchips is one of our vendors.
That ECO light is part of the MDS system, but even with MDS turned off on my tuner the light still comes on so it's always had me stumped what exactly it means.

yup, like said above superchips is one of our vendors. As for your question before, major engine mods would be cam, headers - i'm sure others can fill in on more mods. I don't do them so I don't know too much about that...LOL

cool, sounds like superchips it is.... no, i'm not wanting to do major mods on the engine..... just saw the superchips vivid, and looks pretty sweet. going to be out December 2011
