SO I have a Diesel 1989 D250 SINGLE REAR AXLE. We my grand son & I put a flat bed on it . He say the bed was from a dually .. Maybe... but I have an old 4 Door 1978, D300 OF D350 IT does have a dual rear wheel axle under it . Most likely 4:11's. Not sure if it's a 4 door pickup or a 4 door Cab & Chassis ..
BUT Will it fit under my 1989 D250. & I'd expect to need to do some machine work on rear of drive shaft .
Most say the axles are different between the widths . Some have told me it won't work . & Some say it'll just stick out more on one than the other .
& Whwew does the 1978 fit into this set up.
........ THANKS

Dodge used the same spring spacing on all the diffs on D/W series trucks. Should bolt right into the d250 and actually be a better match for the front track width.

Srw width: 65"
C&C width 67-68"
Drw pickup width: 72-73"

I have felt like it should work also .
But someone told me it's ... ONE is wider than the other . DON'T REMEMBER IF IT WAS a cab & chassis wider or just the dually was suppose to be wider than the 3/4 ton.
But I've always felt that it'd work.
