So I bought these lights and tried to install them but the lights don't light up. Has anyone used these before? I tried flipping 180 degrees and it didn't light. The resistors are wired properly. The incandescent lights properly when switched back in.

I called superbrightleds and they are going to test two lights and once confirmed they work they will ship them out to me to try.

Anyone? lol. So there are two positive wires going to the light. I assume one is turn and one is park. Does it matter which one the resistor is wired to?

I believe it does matter, The resistor should be between the turn signal wire and ground.

Ok, thanks for the reply. I'll bust out the multi meter and figure out which one it is. Unless someone knows which one. They are both white but one has a brown line and one has a blueish line.

Also, does this truck have a system that when it detects that a bulb is out it won't send any power to that socket? Like if I just put in the LED bulb no resistor it should or shouldn't light?

Usually if you have a bulb out or none at all it will hyperflash.

I forgot which wires I tapped, but I'm pretty sure the brown is the Ground. Not which one is the turn signal power.

You try checking the contacts on the LED and in the base of the socket making sure they look fine. I had a issues with my rear taillight socket contact that was pushed all the way down not making contact with my LED bulbs.

I'll check the wires tonight. But I also looked at the terminal on the bulb and bent the contact wires ever so slightly just to make sure they weren't tucked too close to the bulb. Also, the LED bulb barely fits. I have to use a little force for it to click in to the position the incandescent is usually in. And use a flat head screw driver to pry it off since I don't want to pull on the circuit.

I pit the resistor on the middle wire.

I also had a set of switchbacks that were new and didn't work from the start.

Well new bulbs came in and they didn't work. I am stumped as to what the issue is. I'm guessing it's just bulb design. I put in some bummy 3157 brake lights and they lit up no issue. I noticed that when I was inserting the light it would flicker on sometimes and not others.

I wanted to buy from JJ but his are the type where they alternate between amber and white. I want the kind that are white then amber for the duration of the turn and then white comes back on once the turn is completed. Anyone know of GOOD lights that do this?

That's strange man. So you flipped them around?

They don't do anything at all? No parking or hazard lights? Contacts on the bulb look good?

yeah man I am stumped. I'm a pretty technical guy. I tried flipping them. I grabbed my multimeter to make sure power was supplied even though a bulb out indicator is given. I bent the contacts some. I dremeled out a small channel in the plastic part of the bulb that I could see was on the stock incandescent. I am at a loss. The tech guy said they don't have any history of this bulb on the truck. It was just weird that a truck stop brand LED brake light snapped in and lit just fine.

I'm tempted to just drop 80 on the Vleds because I really want switchbacks

I bought my switch backs off ebay. They worked fine in my truck...

With that said I've bought many LEDs from autolumination in the past and never had problems. Very good customer service.

Got my switchbacks from JDMtuning haha, haven't had a problem with them. They look the same as the ones Jeremy sells, have 2 white leds and 2 amber. White are lit up for running lights, then the white comes off and the amber flash for turn. Shut the blinker off and about 1-2 seconds later the white light up again

I had mine in for a few months no issues at all, couple days ago I noticed that passenger side wasn't lit, but when I turn that blinker on it worked fine... Flipped bulbs, swapped that bulb to drivers side, and the issue followed that bulb. I went back to the stock bulbs. The whole headlight assembly has quickly become my nemesis....

What size load resistor are you guys using? I think that might be my issue. They are 25 watt and I'm seeing a few saying 50 watt

Well I ordered 50 watt load resistors. I'm fairly certain the 25 watt resistors were my issues.
