I think I will order 6 total just in case RP filters become similar to Bigfoot!

Thanks crackerjack: that was the type of gasket I have been looking for.

We all think it would be wise.
I honestly don't know if the paint will peel or chip off on its own over 30K miles.

It's better to take 15 min & remove it with a wire wheel or some type of sanding.

Going to share my plan for when im cleaning the paint off the trans filter.

Fir the love of god keep the filter top covered somehow to keep dust out when you are vigors cleaning the paint off.

Just go buy a cheap filter that cross references to the filter you are using (20x1.5 thread) and screw them together while cleaning with your trans filter thread insert.

^^^I'll just use the OEM spin on that comes in the Filter kit I order first.

Then if I can just find & purchase the mopar panel filter afterwards would be ideal!

I don't know that I want cork, I kind of like rtv, maybe I'm nuts. I don't like removing it, but I like it as a gasket.

What I'm talking about isn't cork. It's like what the axle cover has. It's a rubber and steel gasket that is reusable. I'll see if I can get the part # at work tomorrow

For less than $3, I'll use the cork...I'll likely only need to do it 2-3 more times so it makes sense to me.
