Secondary question to original

Hey Folks

I just registered today because I was hoping to find some people who might have had similar problem as myself.

My tail lights, blinkers, etc., keep burning out. At first I though it was just because of water in lamp housing. I managed to modify housing to keep water from being an issue, but think that over time the circuit board and the wiring harnesses have gone bad.

I can find the circuit boards no problem, but does anyone know where I can get the harnesses? I have scoured the internet and have not had any luck.

Thanks yall

Ken

Cthulhu - do they make those in smoke or black? I want that style but want some difference between body color and tail light. I just bought my Ram and I think it's the same color as yours... I just like the contrast with red vehicles and non-red tail lights. I was looking at these >>> http://www.autoanything.com/lights/anzo-usa-led-tail-lights

Problem with blue lights is now a lot of police departments are starting to give out tickets for having them in your car/truck. Mississippi and Louisiana the ticket will cost you $500 PER LIGHT, and depending on the police officer and your attitude toward them they will make you take them out and BREAK them. Now if it is night and you do not have spare light bulbs they will again stop you and ticket you for no headlights at all.
All states have laws that pretty much state that blue lights are reserved for emergency vehicles ONLY. So in my book blue lights are a big no no, and will NEVER be installed in my truck.

I had a friend, here in Mississippi, who had fog lights on his PT Cruzer that when off had a blue tint, even though the light is white when on. He received a $1,000.00 fine. He had to drive a 150 mile round trip to go to court. His fine was reduced to $200.00 when he showed the judge, the box with the removed lights, so the judge could see what kind of lights he had on his car. Unless you drive a law enforcement vehicle, stay away from blue lights on the outside of your ride. Just my 2 cents worth.

Just got the Spec-D's installed. Piece of cake and they look great. Took about 15 min total but having an issue with the left side turn signal blinking too fast. They both we're doing it at first but then the right one slowed down to normal speed. Any ideas?

Different resistance values possibly? Maybe one has a parallel bridge part way through the circuit dropping the load on the flasher, resulting in a fast flash... Possibly?

It's weird. Been driving with them for a few days now and it will be fine for a while then all of a sudden it says tail light out and starts blinKing fast again. Spec D said that autoanything.com will replace them under warranty but I was just waiting to see if it clears up. But I'll probably call them today as it has still been happening every now and then.

I don't see how they can make you break them??? I am a Police Officer and I know legally you can't make someone break their own property. They can make you take them out during the traffic stop and replace them with clear/white, but they cannot force you to break your property. They can, however confiscate it as evidence. But they would have to place it into an evidence inventory and present the evidence during the court hearing if you contested the ticket.
