Looking to replace tailgate protector spoiler. Its held on with 3M tape and is smooth inside. It sits on a black tailgate protector that has plastic rivets holding it on. 2011 Ram 1500 any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

The old style had the plastic rivets the new style eliminates that and is tape only. Start at one side and work your way across I don’t think I’ve ever had issues removing one. Hopefully you didn’t have a previous owner use adhesive

Thank you. I'm looking to replace what I have now. Smooth on the inside with only 3M tape. Its been on since I bought the truck in 2011.

So looking at my pics the protector is riveted in place with the plastic ones. Then there is a pic of the spoiler cap that was held on with 3M tape no holes and smooth on the inside.
