I have a scheduled appointment for my 2014 2500 tomorrow. They will perform the recall on the track bar bracket (drill the frame!) and the non responsive brake controller.
I hadn't started the truck in two weeks and went out and found it completely dead. I put the voltmeter on the battery and it had 0 volts- nada. Put the charger on and charged it so I can get it in tomorrow and found nothing on that would drain it.
Decided to put locking lug nuts on while I waited on the charger. Couldn't break a lug nut even after trying with a two foot cheater. WOW Checked and lugs should be torqued to 135 ft. lbs. Put my torque wrench on and bottomed it out at 150 lbs. Tried my other wrench and found the same thing.
After eight recalls and numerous other problems with only 7000 miles on the truck I am very sorry I bought the Pedro made Fiat.
Just my rant for today.

That sucks. Sorry to hear that. Good luck tomorrow, hopefully this is the end of your problems.

It appears we have quite a diversity in dealers through out the nation. Lucky Me, I have one of the best around. Having had the truck in for the recalls and regular maintenance plus the gears, I can honestly say, No Problems or Complaints. Again, I feel very fortunate but sure hope I can stay away from the bad shops when we travel. I now plan on doing most of the maintenance myself as the original service period has just ended. That said, the only reason that I won't have the (my) dealership do the service is the cost of labor. Other than that, I am very satisfied and I think very lucky. Am just waiting now on my track bar brackets as well. Wouldn't worry about having them other than our Alaska trip and the possible severe road conditions. Will feel better knowing that mod is done.

KarL45 - what kind of MPG's are you seeing with those 4.56 gears?

Dropped mine off at 0700 this morning. I asked the dealer if they really had to drill the frame to install the bracket. The answer is yes. They are also going to address the problems I mentioned in the previous post. I don't really have any complaints with my local dealer. It is mainly the quality and engineering that went into our trucks.

To the OP, loosening (breakaway) torque is not the same as tightening torque. That is a surefire way to ruin your torque wrench (but it does seem like you went past 150 anyway). You need a much longer bar or a Harbor Freight electric impact. Would loosen the lugs on my 01 dually which I would torque to 150.
If it is new, once you get them loose the tightened properly it should be OK later.
