The 2019 Ram 1500 w/395 HP uses Unleaded gas???

I don't think any Dodge/RAM engines are direct injected.
EcoDiesel and Cummins both do, they're also the only forced induction trucks.

I think I'm going to go halfway and run 89 Octane gas.
I can't wrap my head around running cheap 87 Octane gas, the same that all the average car runs.

i checked yesterday when i got gas how much 89 was compared to 87. 14 cents per litre difference which works out to about 65 cents a canadian gallon difference. i can buy a bottle of octane booster that will be give me 91 minimum and last me for multiple tanks and it would be a cheaper option. i have a full bottle in my garage in case I ever get a ping and need it but never a problem. I don't argue there is a bit more power to be made with 89 but given my driving I don't see the need.

hi tune mine sense 2010 runs better right away when i went to 89 but been using 91 has the power going up hills s in California no worries ! have done a lot on it 91mm air horn y pipe flow master forced intake from bumber when I need power it goes better then the hots rods around ! i get 10 to 13 in town and got 21.6 on freeway but depends if i got my foot into it ! its all in how you program it i did mine was three years to get it super good ! of coarse dont like 88.00 to fill up but its my toy so who cares ! I m retired so now two times a week drive but wish I had 93 here I sure i could do better ! I m old hate but playing with engines now 40 years so just my own 2 ct s I m hoping for a 100,00 more on it we will see ! thanks scott

130k towing miles on my 19 classic with nothing more then regular gas
