Cool to think about, just never going to be a production vehicle.

I don't know, the 392 for 2015 is a 'Dodge Challenger' option, not an 'SRT Challenger' option. May be a mid-year relase.

The 392 will be an option in the RT LX and LC models.

Sorry, I was commenting on the SRT8 Ram. A SRT8 Ram is pretty much a pipe dream unless they drastically change their current thought process on the topic. Hellcat's currently inroadtest mode right now with scheduled release in 2015

I don't disagree with you at all, it would be awesome to see. I was disappointed when they detuned the 6.4L for the HDs.

Unfortunately not going in a Ram, but that is supposed to be the 2015/2016 SRT8 Challenger engine. That engine is specific to the SRT8 version only.
Rumors are over 600 HP and about 600 TQ. Very nice. :badger_1:

That is a weird looking supercharger though. I don't see a pulley. Just looks different than what I am used to with my Roush supercharger and also the Whipple and Magnacharger and such.
Also, looks like the throttle body isn't hooked up yet in this photo.

My gf wants me to keep the Charger around for down the road so she can drive it lol. Think it'll have to be traded in on one of these...

I believe the pulleys are on the passenger side, and there is a single belt that drives the supercharger and all your accessories (weird).

I love seeing it as an option, but I'm guessing it will be in the $65-70k range, which will put it out of reality for many people. Part of what makes the Hellcat so awesome is some of the interior upgrades/goodies that go with it. Otherwise, economically speaking you can take an RT or SRT base package and blow it for less money and same or better HP/torque numbers.

600HP/600TQ is impressive, but it's also at the crank. Figure a 20% drive line loss and it's about 480RWHP. That's achievable with a Magnuson.

Either way, will be interesting to see what kind of numbers the new Hellcat puts up. I'm glad Dodge is giving owners an option for this. I wonder if the 5yr/100k engine and transmission warranty will apply?

Yeah,...that is why I was asked. I didn't see the pulley or the belt.
So,...is it a MagnaCharger? Or, some type of Dodge supercharger. Looks weird. Doesn't bother me,..just wondering.
I case you guys missed it,...check out this video. Sounds NASSSTYYY!!!

I agree with the 20% drive loss, however the new 6.4 motors seem to be dynoing over 400 at wheels. So they must have done some magic at the trans.

Anyone else seen this yet? It's actually pretty cool, if you listen to the exhaust note and the warble it actually sounds like it's namesake.

A very big and very pissed off cat.
