Hello everyone! New to the forum. Just about to graduate and i'm ready to get to work on my truck. She's bone stock except for the AEM brute force intake that came with the truck when i bought it. Right now i'm looking for the basic performance upgrades. I want to build my truck up to be one bad SOB but everyone needs to start somewhere, so that is why i'm here to get your advise. thank you

:welcome: Start with the intake and exhaust. Then work from there. The faster the air gets in and out the more HP the motor makes.

I have the intake, I was wondering about header/exhaust ideas that will give the most power output. I have a regular cab and like the side before the rear tire look.

For exhaust, depends how extensive you want to go. A cat back will give you more noise and a little more power. Full headers, Y pipe and cat back will make more power.

Shorties are an improvement over the stock manifold, and will bolt up to your stock Y (which is restrictive).

Longtubes are supposed to be better for bottom end, and more power in general. But these require an aftermarket Y pipe, and will displace or at least relocate your cats and O2 sensors. Most common are the Pacesetter long tubes and their off road Y pipe. (called off road because it doesn't have cats in it) but your stock cats can be welded into it.

Aside from exhaust, cooler thermostat, electric fan, tuner and eventually custom tunes.. its never ending
