Making my own cai. Which filter should I use. Most bang for my buck

Best bang for the buck would be to get the K&N, you will never have to get rid of it, just clean it... it'll save you $ in the long run, I had a Spectre and it sucked itself in lol, same thing happened to my buddies Spectre on his Ford

and it fits right over it, just take off the top part, and then boom, it'll slip right on, but you'd need to drill a hole in the bumper on east side for the fender holes

3 inch pvc pipe, spectre intake, spectre coupler, i went a little big, but i'm sure it's fine.

the spectre intake filter is awesome, i can go from 4 in, 3.5 in, and even 3.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340431222.493351.jpg okay, before I painted it, I sanded it down. But waaayyyy before that, I got my PVC primer and sealer. Use the primer(purple) then the sealer(clear). Do both pieces and get it to how you want it. Better move fast, this **** dries fast.

Here's my coupler, there is a black price where my hand is, that makes it for snug on a 2.5> inch pipe.

Here's my intake, I set it on 4, so it'll fit right over my 90* angle piece.

Hoped that helped!
