Great build. 5.7 HEMI is a very reliable engine, arguably up there with some of the most reliable American made engines. It’s all about how you take care of the engine. Take care well, and you’ll pass 200,00 miles and not have many issues. Treat it like dog crap and it’ll blow at 100,000 if ur lucky. I’d consider getting blind spot if it is already not included. (I live in a city and drive my company’s 1500 big horn a lot for mulch deliveries and blind spot is a life saver. ) good choice on RAM

I have had three RAM 1500's. I swear by them" My first was the 2001, I got 255,000 miles before trading it in for my 2011, the dealer ship gave me $5,500 for it. When I sold it, it had 275,000 miles and I got $8,000 for a trade in and I love my 2017 1500 Hemi Laramie 4x4. It has every bell and whistle i could ever want. I call it "Fancy" because it is just that. With the 5.7 Hemi it only get about 20 mile on the hwy but I don't plan on getting rid of it until I hit 300,000 and then will trade it in on my next RAM 1500.

So far so good. Just sold my bone stock original owner 2003 Cummins Ram 2500 (best truck I ever owned) and bought a new 2022 Ram 3500 Big Horn HO cummins aisin trans. Everything is great so far .. The 8.4 inch radio has been a little touchy .. had to hard reset the sirius satellite about 4 times but other than that, I’m good to go.

Absolutely true. A good friends 2021 Silverado just ate a couple lifters at 7000 miles and my daughters 2021 Honda SUV is getting a new engine at under 5000 miles.

My 19 Laramie just keeps rolling along. If you're nervous about long term repairs, spring for a $2300 8 yr 125K miles factory service contract. You'll spend a ton more than that to insure your house over the same period.
19 Laramie here also. No issues. I wanted to get the "$2300 8 year 125 K warranty" On the phone they gave me a quote of $4000 plus! WTFO! Can you tell me where you got yours?
Thanks

I have a 2021 RAM 1500 Longhorn Limited with the same Hemi engine with eTorque and air suspension running on 22” rims, with the short bed and the 33 gallon tank. Love the ride, like a luxury sedan, and the utility of the truck with MFT and RamBox. I have had zero problems with it. Mine is the ivory white tri-coat with pearl. Great truck and I’m sure you’ll love it.

Air suspension has ruined me. I never want another truck without it. I agree with 33 gal tank.

I have a 2020 Laramie with the same configuration and I completely agree. I love the air suspension and the 33 gallon tank is a must-have for me. I'm already at 40k miles!

On my second one. Picked up a 2022 Ram 3500 a few months ago and so far it is as reliable as my last one.

Here here on all of the manufacturers having problems. I service a fleet of vehicles including Ford, Chevy and Rams. I own and like my Ram. Typically the Rams are easier and cheaper to repair but they’ve all got issues. I really like the interiors on the Rams. I’m6’3 240 lbs and I don’t feel cramped up in one

Mine came from Robbins Motors, Manhattan KS. Ziegler Motors is widely used on this forum with code -payinfull giving about the same discounts. Just be sure you deal with a Ram source on the factory service contract. Robbins and Ziegler are both Ram dealers.

Roger that on the 6'3 240  We have a dog crate in the back seat that takes up a lot of space. Can't put the seat back all the way. And still have plenty of room up front for me..

My neighbor just got a brand new F350 and he raves about our interior.

Few notes on my end based on what you want to do with it. If you will be towing, ensure you option for the 3.21 3.92 gearing in my opinion. There is also a good breakdown of engine capability on this page: https://www.ramtrucks.com/towing/engine-performance/2022/ram-1500-4x4.html

I would also recommend getting the full touch screen as I like tech and also the adaptive cruise and air conditioned seats if you can swing it. I personally would not get the air ride simply due to issues I have read about online. Some folks say the new gens are fine, but I don't think they have been out in the wild yet long enough to truly test the system, but you'll have a warranty on it.

If you do any off-roading, I would recommend getting the off-road package. The rear locker is nice to have.

Otherwise you'll love it!

I'm surprised at Exdeus's rec to get the 3.21 rear if towing. That is opposite of all I heard/read before and since buying mine. Everything I've seen is to go with 3.92 of you do much towing. Just did first tow trip with ours last week towing our Grand Design Transcend MK200 - around 6K lbs. The ecodiesel with 3.92 did a great job - much improved over the 2016 w/hemi I traded in. Improved capability and MUCH better mpg.

I'm assuming it was just a mental 'typo' -- the 3.21 isn't an option, but the standard, as we know, and the shorter gearing of the optional 3.92 gear ratio will unequivocally perform better under load (except perhaps in fuel mileage).

If you are in the south definitely get air suspension. Hands down my favorite option.

My 2014 Laramie has been very reliable. The items that have failed were all under warranty. Water pump, some light assembly, blinky dash, and Hemi-Tick.
Routine maintenance with 100% Synthetic oils.
Runs like a champ and pulls like brand new.
Just hit 100,000 miles a few weeks ago
