Third gen 5.7 swap to second gen 2500 4x4 5.9 magnum

I have a second gen ram 98 2500 I'm looking to swap in a third gen setup with the 5.7 hemi I was planning on using everything I can as far as the harness ecm dash and whatever else that I could use has anyone done this before? If so what kind of modifications do I need to do to make this work? Thanks

Haven't heard of anyone who has done this anything can be done of course cool idea tho love 2nd gens. I suggest getting a whole parts 3rd gen ram if you don't have one already you will for sure need all wire harnesses pcm transmission ect. Possibly make some motor mounts as well I also don't think the dash will fit the cabs are different.

I think it would work but what will you use the 2500 for? The concern would be can the 1500 trans work for you. One other thing that comes to mind is the axles, is there ABS and traction control on the 3rd gen and will you be able to install it on the 2500? I think (do not know for sure) the modules on the 1500 will need to be carried over the the 2500... but as I say this more questions start to rise.
