First thing to do is when you are home or at work, when you are inside, make it a habit to put your FOB in a Faraday Cage
That way no one can stand outside of your building & grab a signal from your FOB, they may grab a signal from some one elses, but not yours.

If you don't use a Faraday Cage, it works just like a garage door opener, they catch the signal when someone is using a garage door by remote.

Each device that we use to eliminate Labor, makes things easier for thieves too

I have made two for my own key fob styled "Faraday pouch" using HVAC Aluminum foil tape and a couple of old readers glasses fabric pouch.

I wrapped the pouch with HVAC Aluminum foil tape and shoved my key fob into it ... it ain't pretty but it works and is cheap.
