I always thought the purpose of those nets was to allow the air that flows into the bed at speed to flow through, i.e. to lessen the wind resistance of the truck. Since you've got a tonneau cover on the bed, I'm not sure I understand the purpose of the net.

Ahhhhhh!!!!! I wasn’t a huge fan at first but the reason for it is less weight and the tailgate fits with the net so I can just pop it back on. I appreciate all your guys comments... it’s def not something I’ll be running permanently

I was going to mention weight, and really didnt want you to bring it up! Lol.

I mean come on man it's a truck. What 7k pounds? Removing the gate ain't gonna do much.

You only get to talk about weight reduction when you have removed AC and water pump. Haha

True it is.. it’s heavy as foook! But a little weight reduction does help for what I’m trying to accomplish. But I’ll use it only for when I go to the track with it and put the tailgate back on when I’m doing truck stuff lol

Not gonna lie tho... it does look pretty cool in person [emoji848]

If you are serious about weight. You want to start with the nose.

I guarantee that truck will be at least 60/40 F/R. Having that bed with no reinforcement you would probably benefit from having some weight o the rear.

P.s. be careful if you have a two piece driveshaft launching that thing on the strip.

White letters out on tires if you want to go retro.
