Ticking on starup

Engine ticking first 3 min or so on startup. Sounds like #7or5. My theory is valve lifters have lost tension in their springs. How close is my theory?

Othe than that I get a P0456 I have to clear often.

Check out your PCV valve you may be heating it. I think I responded to you on another thread.

You may have. Thanks. However, I know its the lifter. TIcking on drivers side.

Ive heard that PVC valve ticking before. Auto parts store will swap out that issue.

Just wandering How many miles is on your 4.7? What kind of oil and filter do you use? Seems like a lot of crazy lifter issues lately.
