I recently switched from tilt to non tilt steering wheel. It was not my choice. It was because it's very hard to find a good tilt steering wheel column. In my area.

Well I got it installed and the switch connection is the same but the turn signal connection is not the same.

What can I do about it?

Non tilt steering was pulled from an 1987 d150
My truck is a 1982 d150

Does anyone have the wiring diagram for both?

On the pictures. The black connection is coming from the 1987 steering.

The blue connection is original for my 1982

Be easier to cut and splice the plugs but you could change out the switches as well fairly easily.

There's a change from the wiper switch being on the dash vs the column in the mid-80s. That changes the column wiring.

Does the tilt truck use a harness adapter? I ask this because the Dodge tilt column is GM-sourced, and I don't know if the column wiring is made different, or simply adapted.

Also, if your tilt column is worn/broken, there's usually ways to fix it because the parts are readily available on the GM side. I used to rebuild them regularly 20 years ago.

I DID THE OPPOSITE of your swap earlier .. I PUT a tilt wheel into my 1988 truck .. My Tilt came from a 1987 Dodge ram charger ..
But yes as one of the others said probably easier to cut off your plug & just splice you wires . I'd think just simply using a test lamp to find the 2 that need to be spliced together .
