You can get 3.92s with the Express....

You can get the 3.92 with the express if you have the 6 speed. 8 speed 3.92 are a "luxury" option found on the slt and up. I checked rams website. If You go express 8 speed your only axle option is 3.21 witch would kill your towing. Just keep that in mind but would be good for fuel economy. I have been looking into the 8 speed sense I might be upgrading to a crew soon.

That's a nice looking truck! Kind of wish is had lower gears, but 3.92s are almost impossible to find on dealer lots. After driving my truck with 3.92s, I don't think 3.21s would be a bad thing if you're not towing much weight. You'll spend a lot more time in 7th gear rolling up hills on the highway, but even my truck drops to 7th on the bigger hills. Good thing is, downshifts are quick and seamless with the 8 speed. If you didn't have a louder exhaust and ignored the tach, you wouldn't even notice the shift.

Awesome, nope, dont do much towing, my buddy tows the race car, so very seldom I do any towing.

The Ram website isn't all that accurate. There are 8 speed Expresses out there with 3.92 gears...

We'll good to know. I admit I'm wrong if people are taking delivery of them. I would love to own a 8 speed 3.92 crew cab express. I would have to do little more research I guess.

It's not just towing. It's motivating a near 6K truck off the line with authority

Thanks man, I sure have enjoyed it, not 1 issue in 18000 miles...love the truck, just need more room.

Not sure, if I do a 4x4, eventually it will get 35's

Ok, change of heart, again...it's in getting dropped right now. Looked at new forged wheels like I had planned, and maybe some Nitto 305/50/20's.
I will look next summer at 4 door, just keep seeing the exhaust, swaybars and lowering kit just sitting in the garage, and I feel I didnt 'finish' my goals on the truck.

So will post pics Monday of it dropped.

You will like those tires for sure Goose, I have the Nitto 305/55/20's and I love the look and the stance, they don't have a ton of vibration in them either.

Its done, wow...rides amazing! The Hellwig sway bars do their job....drives better than normal!
