Why does the specs call for 2deg after TDC? I set it to 8 deg before TDC and it runs better.

I have mine set at 32 degrees total timing (at 3500 RPM) which turns out to be about 14 BTDC at idle. Runs great. however, it's not completely stock and has long tube headers.
