Hey,
Any body experience getting their tire pressure sensor replaced on their Ram?
I had a punctured tire recently, got it replaced but a week later the sensor stopped working for that tire.
A mech at a diff tire store told me the sensors too often get damaged during a tire replacement so most likely thats what happened.
Went back to the shop that replaced the tire but the tech said his little gadget to get the sensor to talk to the truck would not work on 2013 Ram.
So I called the Ram dealer, they want $228 to replace the sensor and re-write all four sensors to the trucks ecm.
Holy ****! I called Good Year back and told the manager he knows they damaged the sensor. He said his tech did not know how to operate the tire sensor device and to come back tomorrow. He feels he can get the sensor back to life with the device
Only thing is the dealer said only they can make a sensor talk to the trucks ecm.
The good year guy says they do it all the time but maybe Rams are different. Perhaps they can do it with a aftermarket sensor but not a OEM. Dealer wants $80 just for the sensor
We will see tomorrow.
Thanks
