I bought my 2022 RAM 3500 single rear wheel gasser new in February 2022 and it came with Firestone Transforce HT, LT275/70R18 125/122S EV2440 DOT VN15 TH7 5021.
Yesterday one of the rear tires was flat, the other 3 tires had normal pressure. I had probably been driving locally a few miles with low pressure on the problem tire. I looked carefully at it, and it has small cracks in circle half way up the tire wall. The other 3 have similar cracks, but smaller. Using my (undersized) air compressor I got the problem up to 70 psi last night. This morning it was down to 40 psi. I called the local Discount Tire. They have the right size, in 3 brands: Cooper, Rocky Mountain (?), NITTL (?). Is any of these brands good? I assume the Firestone is not good. Any recommended brand? Should I expect to get the tires covered by warranty?

I personally never had good luck with the Transforce tires and yanked them from all of my trucks.

There are a million different opinions on what has worked best for others, but I've had great success with the Cooper Discoverer AT3s on my 2018 1500, and my 2016 3500. I will be putting the same tires on my 2500 when the time comes. However, I have Michelin Defenders on it now, and at the rate they're wearing it will likely be a long time before I need tires.

The ones that most seem to recommend:

Cooper Discoverer
Michelin Defender
Falken Wildpeak
Toyo Open Country

I doubt the tires would be warrantied but I suppose you could ask the question.

I'm sure you are referring to Nitto, that is what my brother has on his. I think they are on the high end price wise but a quality tire.

Idk anything about Cooper or RM.

+1 for Michelin Defenders. Great long lasting tire with fantasy wet weather grip. They run quiet and smooth on my 2500.

3rd vote for Michelin's. The stock Firestone tires lasted two years, and then I replaced them with Firestones that turned out to be defective.
I am not sure which Michelin's I have but two years in I should get another two years out of them.

Thanks all for your comments. From my own experience in the past, I really like Michelin and Toyo. Michelin is very expensive though. I needed a solution same day, and ended up with Goodyear Wrangler that has kevlar in the sidewalls. I have good experience with Goodyear in my trailer tires.

Did you get load e tires? Brand doesn't matter as much as load rating. It sounds like you need the 10 ply..

I'll endorse Nittos all day. I've been riding on them for a good many years and usually get around 50-55k miles out of them. I rotate every oil change. I just put on 295 60 20s last week. Ran me $475 a piece from tirerack.

Michelin Defender LTX M/S in E-Range.
Fantastic tires, excellent wear characteristics, really good in wet road conditions, smooth, quiet, and dependable with a great warranty, too.
They also balance extremely well, especially for a LT 10-ply tire.

You got the tires replaced so that is off the table., Did you get money back from Firestone. My OEM Firestone's on my 2021 2500, were defective too, and I got a full refund as I only had 3000 klms on mine when I swapped them out for Goodyear Duratracs. Two year old tires that are surface cracked are a warranty claim, bad enough to lose air, they are actually dangerous. I would definitely be pursuing a warranty claim.

I put on Michelin Defenders also at about 32 K miles. I don't do winters or off road and they are awesome in the rain (Florida resident). and they are quiet. They work great towing our TT as well and they don't leave black marks as I turn into our driveway like the transforce tires did. I run them at 60-65 psi

I replaced the Nexen Rodians on my 3500 dually because one winter I couldn't get out of a flat snow covered parking lot during the winter. I replaced them with Firestone Destination XT's. Only have about 35000 miles on them and they are all about worn down. This go around I am putting on Nitto ExoGrapplers.
