So my question is , on my tires it say 35x12.5 but when i measure the height it's 33" high . I have a smarty computer module that can change my tire size to fix my speedometer reading . Do I put 35" or 33" ? And why does the tire say 35" on the side wall but actual height is 33" ? Thanks

My guess is they are 35” prior to having the weight of the truck on them/having air put in them which makes the sidewalls push out a little

Almost all tires measure physically smaller than their advertised measurements. They’re like shoes. Even though they say a certain size, each one fits slightly differently. My 315/70/17 Mickey Thompson’s measured just over 33.5” when they’re supposed to be 35”. Conversely, my new Pro Comp MT Xtreme’s measured exactly 37” top to bottom when new. They’re referred to a “large” 37”.
