I just lifted my 2014 2500 and added some Nitto 37's. Max pressure on the tires is 65, and right now I'm running 55. Naturally, my low tire pressure light is on, and after looking around online, I saw that the TPMS thresholds could be changed at the dealer.
I have a couple of friends that work for Ram dealers, and one of them was nice enough to take care of that for me. Well, we dropped it to 55, and it seems to have worked, but the light is still on and the EVIC is telling me to inflate tires to 55 even though they are already there. Any ideas?
I know the light isn't a big deal as long as tire pressure is correct, but I can't stand it, especially on a brand new truck.

Ok, ran the pressure all the way up to 70. Fronts are showing good, rears are still showing low. It's like the pressure settings are still stock although the EVIC says otherwise.

Drive if it doesn't come off reprogram and try again. After you do that a couple of times I would venture to say you have a dead sensor which happens from time to time.

It's got something to do with the way the 2500 is set up. Tire pressure is supposed to be 65 front and 80 rear from factory. I thought I had a solution, but not quite. I aired tires up to 70, and the light for the fronts went out. Dropped it back to 60 and it's still out. It dropped to 57 and still stayed out. So I aired the rear to 80, thinking that maybe if I got the light off, it would stay off as long as I didn't go below 55. Well, I dropped the pressure to 60 and the light was back on. Raised it to 65 and it was still on.
