The program is $50 and the OBDLinkMX is $79. A dealer, if you can get them to even do it, would most likely be higher than that. Oh, and you've got a 2018, which means you either need a bypass cable made by a couple of the members here, or a Z-Automotive bypass module that Infotainment sells. They are about the same price I think. About $65. They both do the same thing.

These things I’m aware of but I understood that the person I quoted had his done at the dealer. I’m curious about renting one as this tool is way the hell out of my budget and foreseeable future.
Thank you.

You had actually quoted me on the question of how to adjust the tire pressures btw.

I run about 55 all the way around. I have hauled 1,400lbs. in the back at that pressure & they did not bulge a bit. I think the 80psi is waaay higher than it needs to be.

You must have a 3500 ... TPIS vs TPMS.

I've had two 2017 3500s. My previous one the low pressure light world come on for the rears the second it dropped below 65 psi. My current 3500 the pressure has been as low as 58 psi and no light. Any idea why?

I run 50 psi all around. Im always unloaded. Yall are correct on the 20% adjustability on the thresholds before the light kicks on. Ive toyed with it quite a bit, but now come to accept the small orange tpms light all the time..

I can't explain your previous truck but your current truck definitely has TPIS or none. Most have TPIS which means no warnings but you should be able to cycle thru the screens to see the pressures.

You don't have to accept it. If you'd prefer it work properly with different settings, I can definitely help with that. Shoot me a PM for details or comment here and I'll PM you.

I do have the tire pressure screen and have been checking it constantly on cold mornings. I upped the cold pressures to 66 front 64 rear and like the way it rides better than 62/60. After some highway driving they show 71/69.

I guess TPIS it is.

You must like your teeth being shakin from your head at those pressures! I’m at 45 front, 40 rear and it’s still stiff as hell

I kind of wish there was a step by step on how to do with with AlphaOBD. I tried searching in the AphaOBD thread about it, but it was so huge that I gave up looking.

There is a "TPMS" link right in the first post of the AlfaOBD thread under the "Index of How Tos" heading. Brings you to a Google drive doc with screenshots on what to do. You will probably need the PIN number for your RF hub from a service department.

2014 *might* be different, but Im not sure.

You'll definitely need the PIN code from the PARTS dept. Service will be absolutely zero help. 2014's should be no different other than you'll likely need to drive afterwards.
