Looking like I'll be doing good to get 30,000 miles out of the stock Transforce HT's on my '19 2500 CC 4x4 Tradesman 6.4 SB. Tires are 275/70/18. Any recommendations on a good replacement tire that will last significantly longer? Might go with an A/T as I do have some snow to drive through here in the mountains of SW Virginia, but don't want to get too much noise from them. TIA,

David

If i get 20k miles out of my stock Firestones I will be lucky they are a trash tire. I have no real world experience on upgraded HD tires just 1500s but doing the research after seeing how bad these wear im thinking I will go with the nitto ridge graplers. From my research alot of people are having good luck with them they are aggressive but not loud and decent mileage for a AT. Another popular option to look into is the Toyo open country.

You'll get a million different responses, so I'll just throw my two cents in. Don't go cheap. I've only bought off-brand/no-name tires twice and both times they were not good. Never balanced right, wore quickly, out of round....you get the picture. My best ever tires were Nittos and Coopers. My current Mickey Thompsons are great, but probably more aggressive than what you're looking for. Cooper and their subsidiaries are all American from the company on down. Lots of good tires made in other countries, but my first choice has tried to always be American. I would also consider what other's have suggested to me recently, that is get the best online quote you can find and then present that to your local tire shop and they'll probably match it. You'll get better service and help out the local economy. My two cents.... Good luck!

I'll never buy Cooper again after my experience with them on my f150. Yes, they last and last, but weren't round.

Very happy with my Goodyear Wrangler A/Ts. Great off road performance while maintaining nice smooth ride quality and MPG.

I’ve put the Hankook dynapros on two cummins trucks thus far, they were the 325x65r18s. Lasted forever and have rim protection. No issues. Will be putting them on my hemi once’s I wear out the stocks.

Nitto Ridge Grapplers, they look aggressive enough and are not noisy. Good in the rain too, snow I am not sure but i've been told that they are. You should get 50k or more out of them with good care, rotating them and keeping them properly air up.

For summer: We’ll see what recognizable name brands come on sale and go from there.

Toyo makes a great tire. They are expensive but you get what you pay for.

Depends what type of tire your looking for. Me personally I hate anything that looks like a car tire on a truck. I usually avoid all HT’s and some AT’s too with some exceptions. Depends really what you want out of the tire and looks. What type of driving do you do?
i have Falken Wildpeaks AT3Wa’s on my new truck and I can’t tell you how fast they are going up in CL. The AT3W’s look good but these a’s look like a car tire.

Since no one has mentioned them yet, my go to is the Michelin defenders. Great road manners and good in the snow for a non dedicated snow tire. Only tire I will buy.

I got these for my wifes expedition ( they are standard load tires) but we have 2 years and easy 20k miles and they still look new they have more tread than my Firestone's with 11k miles on them. They have been a great on road tire.

Currently running LT296/65r20 Nitto Terra Grapplers (129 load rating / S speed rated) on my 2500. One of the lightest AT tires on the market. They are supposed to be good for 60K but anything over 40K is good enough for me. Currently have 13K miles with 0 issues. Treads look great. Easy to balance, quiet, great wet weather traction. Got 40K out of the OEM Firestone Transforce HT’s. They were trashed by then.
